DR Mylopoulos promoted to full professor
FOOT SCREENING TO PREVENT LIMB LOSS LAUNCHED
The CAPE team is upskilling unregulated care providers to screen for diabetes related foot wounds and assess risk among structurally disadvantaged Ontarians living with diabetes, which can lead to the loss of lower limbs and early death.
Dr Woods promoted to full professor
Dr Woods is known for her impactful research on cognitive integration in medical education, transforming teaching practices in family medicine and health disciplines. Her work applies cognitive principles to enhance instruction and knowledge acquistion.
CAPE Team funded by Ministry of Health
The CAPE team aims to enhance the skills of PSWs through co-designed educational offerings that align with the Ontario Ministry of Health’s priorities, such as improving care quality, addressing health inequities, and supporting workforce resilience.

Dr Mylopoulos and a team of Health Professions Education researchers are investigating how integrating capability and context fosters adaptive expertise in future professionals. This work, Preparing Tomorrow's Experts: A First Effort to Understand the Integration of Capability and Context for Adaptive Expertise is supported by a SSHRC Insight Development Grant.
